Mr. Niels Mikkelsen, President of IFBDO and Mr. Jean-Marie Durant, Secretary General of IFBDO were invited to join the workshop.

Niels started presenting what were the expected collaboration of the young people, through the IYC, to the IFBDO:

Languages – translation of documents and important data;

Youth Forum – it would be the responsibility of the IYC to decide the content of the event. Workshops, lectures, social activities; It was also discussed the organization of local youth forums.

Reports of Youth Forums – they are expected to be presented before the Executive Council Meetings.

Website – help in developing IFBDO’s website as well as have its own with specific information about the youth work;

Fundraising – help with the Fundraising in other institutions;

Network – work as a network to disclosure the information provided by IFBDO quicker among partners and Country members;

Cooperation with other organizations (Red Cross, etc.).

Leticia, promised to take all the requirements to the later IYC Meeting and asked two main supports from the Executive Council:

Incentive in the creation of National Youth Committees. A letter, e-mail, document from the President asking the Country member to put time and effort in this subject important to the growing of the IYC-IFBDO. With the e-mail a small guide, created by the IYC, would be sent.

Support the fundraise for the IYC also contacting the Country members of IFBDO.

Niels answered that he will ask the Members to create National Youth Committee and suggested the young people to contact the Presidents of their National organizations to get a letter from him/her supporting the IYC to the fundraise. This was the way used by Mikkel to raise money from the Local organizations in Denmark and it was proved more effective.
